Cooking comes in a many forms. Whether you are a novice cook or an expert in this field, it is not unusual to not know what you want. Do you want a barbecue grill or a barbecue smoker? Does it even make a difference?
A barbecue grill can either be a charcoal grill or a gas grill. A charcoal grill uses traditional charcoal briquettes in creating barbecue. Although setting up a charcoal grill maybe inconvenient and a hassle, it offers cost efficiency and helps you achieve an all time classic smoky barbecue flavour. A gas grill on the other hand is a better alternative in terms of convenience because it has control knobs or buttons that you do not need to set it up the way you did for charcoals. But if you want full smoky flavour, you might not achieve it much for your barbecue gas grill.
A barbecue smoker is convenient and easy to use. It does not require you to stay beside your cooking set up for hours of monitoring and checking. From temperature, dampers, fuel and even putting additional sauces to your meat can be time demanding. A barbecue smoker makes you say good bye to soot and ash. A barbecue smoker has an excellent control regulator to ensure that the food is not over or under cooked. It also has insulation and seals for better thermoregulation and covers to lock in the smoky flavor. It also offers stability and evenness of heat so you are assured that you are cooking something perfectly created.
You may want either a barbecue grill or a barbecue smoker; but the bottom line is, it is still barbecue that you want. The end will justify the means. In however way you want to create your barbecue, choose the one the gives you optimum grilling and eating satisfaction.
